This can save a lot of time between searching through each category if you are not familiar with the crafting section. Search Bar - As of Alpha 9, you are able to search for your requested recipe in the crafting menu. > Grey (Dark) – When the item is shaded this kind of grey, this means that you are currently unable to craft this item because you have yet to gather the required materials. This means you must drag the required items into the interface in order to craft it the first time. > Grey (highlighted) – When the item is shaded grey, it means you have gathered the necessary materials to craft the item, but you haven’t done it before. This also means you don’t have to drag all of the items onto the interface again, you can just click the item or you can shift click to select the maximum number of times you can craft this item. > Green – When an item is shaded green, it means that you already crafted the item before and you have the required items again to craft it. When you are in the crafting interface, you should notice that not all of the items are colored the same, that is because they aren’t, go figure right? Check the points below to see what I’m talking about. > Even If an Item looks truly worthless, take it and scrap it or just keep it for a recipe that needs it in the future.ħ Days to die does have a complex crafting system that is relatively easy to figure out. Then you can scrap the guns for scrap metal. > Remember, carry only what you need, if you have too many weapons in your pack, sort between the used and the pristine weapons. Once you are done you should have something like in the picture below. Once you have filled your inventory with weapons, supplies, and other miscellaneous items, you will need to perform some inventory management, it doesn’t have to be exactly like mine, but you should have where you can efficiently pull out food or weapons without scrambling to find it. After you do that you should start looting everything in your area, you will need these materials later.
This is so if you manage to die, you will not lose your supplies and more importantly, your land claim block.
After choosing between Single-Player & Multi-Player, when you spawn into the world, put away you’re starting materials into your inventory.
